IT Project Manager (m/f/d)
— join our team.
At systaro we build custom software for our clients — and you hold the projects together. From kick-off to go-live: scope, timeline, budget, communication. You make sure requirements turn into working software.
/About the role
As an IT project manager you are the interface between clients, the development team and management. You translate requirements into plans, keep an eye on deadlines and budget, and make sure everyone knows where they stand. No micromanagement — instead creating clarity and clearing obstacles out of the way.
What you'll do
- Steer projectsYou plan scope, timeline and resources — and adjust when reality gets in the way.
- Be the interfaceBetween clients, dev team and management you translate in both directions — so no one talks past each other.
- Clarify requirementsYou draw out what clients really need — even when they can't yet put it into words themselves.
- Spot risks earlyYou see problems coming before they escalate — and raise them, instead of hoping they solve themselves.
- Create transparencyStatus, progress, blockers — everyone involved knows where the project stands at all times.
- Support the go-liveYou stay on it through the rollout and beyond — and ensure a clean transition into operations.
Your day-to-day
On standup days a shared start, then a status call with a client. At midday, reworking the timeline because a requirement changed. In the afternoon, preparing a kick-off and having a developer's back who's stuck on a tricky spot. Lots of communication, little bureaucracy — and real control over your time around it.
We track our time — so you take vacation down to the minute. No rigid daily quota, just real flexibility for work and time off.
/Your profile
We're looking for someone who doesn't administer projects but moves them forward — with technical understanding, clear communication and a sense for when things are on fire. By the way: whether you have a degree or taught yourself everything — what interests us is how you get projects running, not what's on your diploma.
- Experience steering projectsYou've already led IT or software projects — and know that a Gantt chart isn't the project.
- Technical understandingYou don't have to code yourself, but you understand what the dev team is talking about — APIs, deployments and technical debt are not foreign words.
- Strong communicationYou explain the technical to non-technical people and the business side to technical people — clear, calm, without drama.
- Structured & dependableYou document cleanly, keep commitments and stay on top of things even with several parallel projects.
- Pragmatism over methodology dogmaScrum, Kanban, waterfall — you take what fits the project instead of chasing a method.
- LanguagesYou're a native German speaker (or at native level) and communicate confidently in English — with clients, team and partners.
